I am a sustainability and environmental professional, with 10 years' experience across multiple industries, including; energy, telecommunications, engineering, facilities management, premium spirits and local government. Joining IEMA in 2018 as an Affiliate Member, I undertook the IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management and achieved Practitioner Membership in 2019. In addition, I have experience and qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH NGC) and Quality Management (MCQI DipQ), complementing my environmental knowledge. In my current role as Climate Change Officer at Aberdeen City Council, I am working on Net Zero Aberdeen; a place-based route map setting a pathway towards the City of Aberdeen achieving its climate ambitions. I am working across six key themes; Circular Economy, Buildings & Heat, Energy Supply, Mobility, Natural Environment and Empowerment. I am also involved in the development of the Aberdeen Climate Pledge (giving organisations and individuals the opportunity to pledge their support to our city-wide climate journey).
Think global, act local.
The Regional Networks lead IEMA’s voice and member engagement across the globe. They champion the work of local members and create the partnerships needed to support the shift to a sustainable economy.
